It is hard to say that any music could ever really evoke the spirit of Central Australia, but Warumpi Band comes about as close as you can get; a great mixture of country, hard guitar Aussie pub-rock, the right amount of traditional (easily overdone in pop), English and local languages and that cool laid-back groove that seems to somehow find it's way into so much tropical music. The Warumpi band disabanded in 1995 but has set a landmark with this third and final release.
